Understanding Gap Analysis

Gap Analysis is one of HRDCOPY's most powerful features. It reviews your household information and identifies what's missing or incomplete in your emergency preparedness.

How It Works

After you complete the interview, our system analyzes your data against 11 categories of preparedness:

  1. Universal — Best practices everyone should follow
  2. Household — Based on your specific residents and needs
  3. Location — Based on your regional hazards
  4. Medical — Health and medication preparedness
  5. Communications — Emergency communication capability
  6. Documents — Important document storage and accessibility
  7. Financial — Cash reserves and insurance
  8. Security — Home and personal security
  9. Skills — Training and capability gaps
  10. Extended Duration — 14+ day scenario preparedness
  11. Catastrophic — Low-probability extreme scenarios (nuclear, EMP, etc.)

Gap Severity Levels

Each gap is assigned a severity:

  • Critical — Address immediately; could be life-threatening
  • High — Important to address soon
  • Medium — Should be addressed when possible
  • Low — Nice to have; lower priority

What You See

For each gap, you'll see:

  • What's missing
  • Why it matters
  • How to fix it
  • Estimated effort to resolve
